The honorable David Warren Goodknife or known among his peers, friends and family “Uncle Goodknife” is a traditionalist, sweat lodge leader, fire keeper and lodge builder.

Uncle Goodknife holds more than 30-years of participation within Ceremony Reality promoting knowledge, healing, and spiritual awareness. Cultivating awareness and honoring of Ancient Intelligence, as he says is true “AI”.

This innate heart-based insight along with years of dedication toward sharing and honoring traditional knowledge embodies Uncle Goodknife and his wife Cari Pheta Uha Mani (Carries the Fire), who both reflect “Walking the Walk” within their lives while graciously helping where they can.

Uncle Goodknife has had the honor of sitting with wisdom keepers in humble assistance respectfully bringing tobacco and/or groceries in hand. This practice of dedication set the groundwork for an unwavering commitment, earning his place as a Veteran Sun Dancer and Fire Chief.

The teachings of Uncle Goodknife carry visions for future generations through ancestral intelligence and weave a conscious awareness for bringing forth understandings in a warm, youthful, playful joyful way. Uncle Goodknife resonates with the saying “laughter is good medicine”.
